SUMMER IS NEARLY UPON US!!

New Pool Addition

Summer is almost here, and we have some exciting news! Our new pool is in the works, thanks to your enthusiastic feedback in our recent survey. The overwhelming support for a swim program has inspired us to expand our offerings and provide more fun activities for the pups in our care. In addition to the new pool, our shade sails, misters, and existing pools are up and our resort patio vibe is in full effect. We are hopeful to have everything up and running by National Dog Party Day on June 21st! Wish us luck! There will be additional announcements about the details of our new swim program, including answers to many of the questions that were asked in our survey responses. Stay tuned!

Heat Stroke Awareness/Pool Safety

We are proud to announce the second session of our semi-annual educational series with our local vet consultant. In our last meeting, we covered a broad range of topics, but our upcoming session will focus primarily on pool safety and heat stroke - how to spot the signs and preventive measures. Partnering with our veterinary community and having recurring, onsite meetings is crucial for us. This dedicated educational series ensures our employees are well-informed and prepared. Safety is our top priority at Luckydog, and we are committed to ensuring the well-being of all the dogs in our care.

ELEVATING THE CLIENT EXPERIENCE

New Booking Platform: Goose

For the past 5+ years, we've shared the limitations of our current operating software with you. However, we are excited to announce that there's finally hope on the horizon. We have been beta testing Goose, a state-of-the-art booking platform that is light years ahead of the current offerings in our industry. You should be extremely pleased with the results as will we. While we can't give an exact timeline, we are hopeful that the migration to the new system will take place mid-summer if not sooner. Stay tuned for more updates as things progress.

Exciting News: IBBY Award Nom.

We are thrilled to announce that Luckydog Day & Night Care has been nominated for a 2024 IBBY Award from the International Boarding and Pet Services Association. The IBBY Awards, also known as the Petcare Business Excellence Awards, honor those who raise the bar for professionalism and success in the pet care services industry. This nomination recognizes our vision and leadership, animal welfare practices, company culture, customer service, community involvement, and commitment to ongoing learning and development. We are extremely honored and look forward to the next steps in the selection process.

Meet Jill: A Rising Star at LD

Jill joined Luckydog in October 2022 and has quickly become an invaluable member of our team. A recent graduate of the University of Oregon, Jill's seamless integration, incredible work ethic, business acumen, and dedication to our canine clients' well-being make her a standout team member. Jill is the third recipient of our Karen Pryor Academy KPA-CTP scholarship, highlighting her commitment to your dogs and future contributions within our Canine Academy. Outside the office, Jill is a nature lover and live music enthusiast, exploring the vibrant activities Oregon offers. Join us in congratulating Jill on her achievements and contributions to our community!

Dog of the Month Feature: Dodger

Meet Dodger, a beacon of joy and a cherished member of the Luckydog family since 2018. Dodger's playful antics and infectious smile brighten our days. Whether playing with the water hose or lounging by the pool, his enthusiastic spirit is contagious. Leading his daycare pals as Choir Captain, Dodger enjoys harmonious playtimes with his friends Rizzo, Scout, and Zoe.

We're thrilled to introduce Bren, our newest grooming specialist, joining our amazing groomer Laurel, who continues to provide exceptional services. Due to the high demand for grooming appointments, we knew it was time to grow our Lucky Spa. Bren brings a wealth of experience and a passion for dog care, ensuring your furry friends look and feel their best. Leash Training with Our Expert, Stacey

Having issues with your pup's leash manners? Our Canine Academy offers comprehensive Leash Training sessions designed to make your walks more enjoyable. Available in conjunction with daycare, lodging or as individual appointments, our certified trainer, Stacey, is ready to guide your dog toward mastering polite leash walking. Team Appreciation

We recently held a lively bowling party to honor our team's hard work and dedication to our furry clients. The competition was fierce, highlighted by our daycare manager, Stacey, who achieved a badger—four strikes in a row—despite being a novice bowler. Ultimately, Stacey and certified dog trainer Reasha, secured the championship title together. Their names will be proudly displayed on our perpetual trophy, granting them well-deserved bragging rights. I couldn’t be prouder or luckier to work with such an extraordinary team!
