Heat Stroke Safety and Summer Preparedness

Our team met with our veterinary consultant for an in-depth educational session about heat stroke safety. We covered preventative measures, spotting early signs of heat stroke, and handling heat-related emergencies. Our team is dedicated to making this summer one to remember while staying safe and cool! We have a plethora of resources for temperature management, including shade sails in our outdoor play yards, refreshing misters, fun pools, cooling vests, and air-conditioned indoor play spaces with industrial air scrubbers. With safety as our top priority, we plan to make this summer the best one yet!

‍Welcome Reasha to the Luckydog Team!

We are thrilled to introduce Reasha, our newest team member and a proud Eugene native. Reasha earned her KPA-CTP (Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner) certification in 2021, demonstrating her dedication and expertise in animal training. The KPA-CTP certification represents a standard of excellence, and Reasha's skills contribute to the high level of care and positive experiences we provide for the dogs in our care.

At home, Reasha shares her life with Calcifer, her adventurous Bengal cat who is clicker trained and enjoys leash walks. Outside of work, Reasha is passionate about drawing, painting, and surfing on the Oregon Coast.

We’re excited to have Reasha on board and look forward to the great contributions she'll make at Luckydog, especially through our continuing education opportunities.

We love hearing about our friends' extracurricular activities and are thrilled to celebrate the amazing achievements of one of our Luckydogs!

Avo C. the Vizsla made a spectacular debut at his first AKC Fast CAT event in May. Fast CAT® – which stands for Coursing Ability Test – is a timed 100-yard dash where dogs run one at a time, chasing a lure. Avo completed the dash in just 8.50 seconds, with an impressive combined average speed of 24.79 MPH. Way to go, Avo!

Just a friendly reminder that our grooming team is here to keep your pups looking and feeling their best! Quality groomers are in high demand, and Bren's schedule is filling up quickly. Once it's full, appointments will be limited, if available at all.

If you’ve been considering grooming services, now is the perfect time to secure your spot. With two groomers on staff, we can offer more same-day reservations for baths, nail trims, and other grooming needs. Please note that full grooms are best set up with standing appointments to ensure consistent availability.
